-- Dalai Lama

We often neglect good sleep. It is extremely important for your health to get at least 6 to 8 hours sleep every day. It is also important to sleep at the right times. You should not be sleeping too late every day. While sometimes, it is unavoidable to sleep late, but you should ensure that it does not happen regularly.

Good Sleep provides many benefits like:

  1. Good Health
  2. Good mood
  3. Better weight control
  4. Better Memory
  5. Clear thinking
  6. Stronger immunity

Good Health

What happens to a machine that is continuously running every single day? Over a period of time, it breaks down. Your body is the same. If your body keeps functioning actively throughout the day, it becomes weak and tired. How can you re-energize it? You can re-energize it by giving it some rest. Give it 6 to 8 hours of rest every day. You will feel lot stronger and fitter.

Good Mood

When you don't get enough sleep, you become more frustrated and angry. Get good sleep and keep your mood happy. Did you ever notice it in your life? Did you ever feel more cranky on days where you did not get good sleep? It is therefore important to get right sleep if you want to stop shouting at others.

Better Weight Control

When you don't sleep enough, your body undergoes a lot of changes and you will weight too much or too less. Most of the doctors suggest getting good sleep if there is too much weight gain. Without proper sleep, your body will always feel tired and you end up eating more food. What your body is asking for is not more food, but more sleep. Sometimes, we need to understand the signals our body gives.

Better Memory

Research suggests that lack of proper sleep can negatively impact your memory. Better Sleep significantly improves your memory.

Clear Thinking

Sleep loss affects how you think. It impairs your cognition, your attention, and your decision-making. Studies have found that people who are sleep-deprived are substantially worse at solving logic or math problems than when they're well-rested

Stronger Immunity

People who got seven hours of sleep a night or less were almost three times as likely to get sick as the people who got at least eight hours of sleep a night.

Go get your 8 hours of sleep and stay fit and healthy.
