The recently concluded National Science Concours Summer Science Camp at Templeton Academy International (TAI), Naukuchiatal was a fun filled platform for learning. TAI is the top residential school in Nainital District and has state of the art facilities for students and teachers. Organized by Noida based Pivotal Consultancy Services, this camp provides an experiential learning opportunity to students of class 6th to 11th. This five day camp which concluded on 25th June 2016, had 100 students from all over India attending various workshops on different fields of science. Japinder Singh, Head of NSC said that the camp aims at providing a stage to all students from all over India to experience science by doing.

 The NSC camp was both fun and educational. They had multiple interesting themes ranging from Robotic workshop, Forensics workshop and Star gazing activities. The participants also got an opportunity to visit the Indo-Dutch Horticulture institute, Bhimtal along with the Aryabhatta Research Institute of Observational Sciences. It is one of the leading research Institutes which specializes in observational Astronomy & Astrophysics. The rock-mineral-fossil walk was led by Delhi based Geologist Dr. Prabhas Pande, one of the pioneers in promoting Geo-tourism in India.

The camp had excellent on-site faculty who were both knowledgeable and good communicators, exactly what children need to understand science. The camp had also taken good care of fun aspect for kids by organising various competitions along with the science activities on every day basis for 5 days. The last day awards were given out by Dr. Mahendra Singh, a renowned scientist from the Aryabhatta Research Institute. The prizes included the most coveted 'Junior Scientist of the Year' which was won by

Pivotal has shown for last 3 years, how passionate they are about science and generating interest about science among kids. The National Science Concours is a 2 level competition with first round being online test, and the second being project submission. It is an annual event which starts from Aug. Pivotal promises they will bring this program every year to increase interest around SCIENCE in Gen-Y.
