We collect the following information when you register and use MySuperBrain:
- Account information: Full name, username, email address, password (stored as a secure hash), phone number (optional)
- Profile information: Date of birth, grade/standard, city, state, country, gender (optional), school affiliation, profile photo (optional), about text (optional)
- Activity data: Competition entries (files, text, media), quiz attempts and scores, points earned, comments and likes
- Device & usage data: Login timestamps, login count, IP address, device type (collected automatically)
- Payment information: If you subscribe to premium, payment is processed by Razorpay. We store only your plan status — no card numbers or bank details are stored on our servers
3. How We Use Your Information
- To create and manage your account
- To display your name and score on school and platform leaderboards
- To send important account notifications (email verification, password reset)
- To display your competition entries and profile publicly on the platform
- To improve the platform through aggregated, anonymised analytics
- To comply with legal obligations
We do not sell your personal data. We do not use your data for advertising.
4. Children's Privacy
MySuperBrain is designed for students aged 6–18. We take children's privacy seriously. If a user is under 13, we recommend a parent or guardian review this policy and supervise account creation. We do not knowingly collect sensitive data beyond what is necessary for platform functionality. Parents may contact us at contact@mysuperbrain.com to request deletion of their child's data at any time.
5. Data Sharing
We share your data only in these limited circumstances:
- School leaderboards: Your name, grade, and points are visible to other students at your linked school
- Public entries: Your submitted competition entries and profile may be publicly visible on the platform
- Service providers: We use Razorpay (payments), JavaMail/GoDaddy (email), and cloud hosting services — they process data only as needed to provide their service
- Legal requirements: We may disclose data if required by law or to protect platform safety
6. Data Storage & Security
Your data is stored on secured servers. Passwords are stored as SHA-256 hashes — we never store plain text passwords. We implement reasonable technical safeguards, but no internet transmission is 100% secure. Please use a strong, unique password.
7. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access: View all data we hold about you via your profile
- Correct: Update your information via Edit Profile at any time
- Delete: Delete your account via Profile → Edit Profile → Delete Account, or email us
- Withdraw consent: Delete your account to stop all data processing

8. Cookies & Local Storage
We use server-side sessions to keep you logged in. Our mobile app uses browser localStorage to restore your session when the app restarts — this stores only your username and encrypted session data locally on your device. We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking.

We may update this policy periodically. If we make significant changes, we'll notify you by email. Continued use of MySuperBrain after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
